What to Bring to Your Appointment (Required Materials)

It is advisable to bring extra cash with you since there is an expedited fee of $60. You will be asked for your Social Security Number so be sure to have it memorized or on hand.  Only people who have booked an appointment will be allowed inside the premises and security measures are in place with metal detectors. It is important to arrive on time for your appointment since appointments will be canceled if you are 15 or more minutes late. Have all the necessary documents with you before you arrive at the center.

You should be familiar with several guidelines before going there. You will be passing through metal detectors once you arrive at the Agency. Weapons are not allowed inside the premises.

What to Do at Your Appointment

Arriving on time is crucial. When you book an appointment, be sure that you will be able to arrive on time. The Vermont Passport Center has a strict no late appointments policy. Arriving 15 minutes late will void the appointment and you would have to reschedule at a later time.
Try to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time to allow enough time for unexpected delays is public or private transportation.

Another option, if you cannot get to the Vermont Passport Center would be to hire the help of a private expediting passport company.

These companies have pre-existing agreements with passport agencies to process your passport application on your behalf. This option is a bit more expensive than just visiting the Vermont Passport Agency but you would be guaranteed your passport is completed once your documents are correct.
