Cameroon Visa – How To Apply For A Cameroonian Visa

Cameroon Visa Requirements

All U.S. citizens traveling to Cameroon must have a Cameroon visa, along with a valid passport, immunization records and proof of yellow fever vaccination. In order to obtain a visa, travelers must complete and submit two original visa application forms and one copy. All information on the application forms must be filled out correctly or processing delays could occur. In addition to the application forms, travelers must also submit two 2×2 color passport photos with a white or plain background. Other required documents include a letter of invitation to Cameroon, proof of departure and proof of sufficient funds.

Travelers should note that Cameroon does not recognize dual citizenship. Therefore, U.S. citizens who were born in Cameroon are also required to obtain a visa before entering the country. The Embassy of Cameroon determines whether or not to grant the duration of the visa requested on the form.

Cameroon Visa – Single or Multiple Entry

Cameroonian visas are available in single and multiple entry forms. Those who will be entering the country more than one time during a certain period of time should apply for a multiple entry visa.

Visa processing times are typically seven business days. Travelers should apply for their visas early in case there are any processing delays. This ensures that travelers will have a valid visa before departing for Cameroon. Once visas are processed, visitors must enter the country within 90 days of the date the visas were issued.
