Iceland Visa – How To Apply For An Icelander Visa
Interested in traveling to Iceland in the future? An Iceland visa will not be required to do so for up to 90 days. If you are a United States citizen, you will not need a visa to visit Iceland. Though a visa is not necessary for travel to Iceland, you will need to ensure the following are in order.
Check passport validity – All travelers to Iceland will need a passport to do so. The passport should be valid for at least 90 days after their intended stay in Iceland. The recommended amount of validity time that should be left on your passport when you depart a country should be roughly 6 months.
Blank visa pages – Iceland, along with many other countries, require blank visa pages in your passport book when you arrive and depart Iceland. The recommended amount of blank visa pages that should be in your passport is (2).
Transit Visa – Sometimes a transit visa is required when traveling to a country on a connecting flight. If you are going to have a layover in a country en route to Iceland, you may need to obtain a transit visa. Inquire about the details of your flight with your airline company.
