Kyrgyzstan Visa – How To Apply For A Kyrgyz Visa

Are thinking about a trip to Kyrgyzstan? You will not need to obtain a Kyrgyzstan visa in order to do so for up to 60 days. However, you will need to verify that your current United States passport is in order and up to date before your trip to avoid any issues.

Things to keep in mind regarding your United States passport

A United States passport that is valid for at least three months after departure from Kyrgyzstan will suffice under the guidelines of Kyrgyzstan immigration requirements, although 6 months is ideal. If this guideline is not met, your trip may be cut short or you will be denied entry to Kyrgyzstan.

It is recommended that six months validity after your intended stay in a country should be on your passport when you leave that country. Though Kyrgyzstan only requires 3-month validity, other countries that neighbor this country may require 6 months validity. Make sure you are aware of these requirements before you travel to any countries nearby Kyrgyzstan.

It is also important to remember that you will need to have blank visa pages available in your passport book when you are traveling abroad. The recommended amount of visa pages that should be left blank in your passport book is a minimum of (2).

Lastly, if you will be traveling to Kyrgyzstan via air and you have to stop in another country for a connecting flight, you may need to get a transit visa. We recommend that you inquire about your flight specifics with the airline company you have booked your flight with.

For all travelers that are going to Kyrgyzstan for religious work, purposes must declare that they are there for religious purposes on the visa application and register with the Office of Religious  Affairs after arriving in Kyrgyzstan. Also, a work visa will be required.
