San Marino Visa – How To Apply For A San Marino Visa

Have you been planning a trip to San Marino? You will not need a San Marino visa in order to travel to San Marino for up to 3 months. You will need to provide a valid United States passport when traveling to San Marino. Your United States Passport should be valid for at least three months after your projected stay in San Marino.

A United States passport that is valid for a minimum of three months after departure from Italy will be adequate under the rules of the Schengen Agreement. If this rule is not met, your trip may be shortened or you will be denied entry to Italy.

It is advised that six months validity after your projected stay in a country should be on your passport when you depart that country. Though San Marino only requires 3-month validity, other countries that border San Marino may require 6 months validity. Be sure to check these requirements prior to your travel to any bordering countries of San Marino.

It is also important to keep in mind that you will need to keep blank visa pages in your passport book when you are traveling abroad. The ideal amount of visa pages that should be left black in your passport book is (2).

Finally, a transit visa will be required, in some cases, for travelers who will be connecting flights in a different country before arriving in San Marino. Countries may require those who connect flights in that country to obtain a transit visa. Inquire with your airline provider about the details of your flight.
