At 59,058 tons and a capacity of 1,712 passengers, the MSC Opera is not overwhelming. It is, however, a well-thought-out layout with abundant amenities for travelers to satisfy their every desire as they sail from port to port.

Opera Spacious Staterooms

As part of a ship-wide refurbishment, new staterooms were add along with balconies featuring panoramic ocean views. The most common cabins are 140 square feet with ocean views. Then, a step up to the balcony staterooms with an additional 43 square feet for the balconies. Finally, the luxury suites with 248 square feet, large balcony, and a number of other special comforts.

Dining on Opera

The restaurant and buffet spaces were enlarge to feature an even wider culinary selection. The MSC Orchestra still offers multi-level dining halls, a buffet, specialty restaurants, and formal, reservations only restaurants.
Children will have full days at sea between swimming in any of the multiple pools, riding the water slide, playing a variety of sports on the courts, video games, arts and crafts, and a number of other activities at one of the playrooms or clubs. LEGO, Namco, and Chicco have all contributed to make the children-center amenities a hit for all ages.
One of the largest new features of the MSC Opera is the 3,433 square foot space that is bursting at the seams with music and begging for the night to be danced away in.
All new boutique walk-through shops are open on Deck 6. The Teatro dell’opera Theater will host you for an evening of entertainment while simultaneously blowing your mind.
