V2-What are the fees for a passport?
QUESTION: I am in the process of gathering all of my documents that pertain to a US Passport. I will be heading down to a passport facility near me and would like to know how much money to bring with me to pay for the US Passport.
ANSWER: Processing time for a passport will be between 4 to 6 weeks and can expedite if the applicant will need their passport services completed faster. Expedited services will process a passport in 2 to 3 weeks if it is required in a rush.
For different passport services, there will be different prices that are associated with them.
Fees for a passport will need to be made payable to the U.S. Department of State. To obtain a New Passport, replace or renew a passport book the fee will be $110 if the applicant is above the age of 16 years old. If the applicant is under the age of 16, then they will need to pay $100 for the same services mentioned above. To obtain a new passport card, replace or renew a passport card the fee will be $30 if the applicant is age 16 and above. If the applicant is not over the age of 16 and is a minor, the fee for the same services mentioned above for a passport card will be $15.
