Post Offices in Kent City

The first post office is at 10612 SE 240th Street and the operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. It is also open on Saturday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. The second is at 216 W Gowe Street and the hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The last is at 24800 64th Avenue South and the hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. At each post office, you have two processing options, routine and expedited services.

Post Office Services

Routine service is when the process takes 4-6 weeks. The is on average the time it takes for the application after it was received at the post office, sent for processing and the new document mailed to its owner. The time may increase if any delay may arise during the process. There is a standard cost for the routine procedure. Expedited services, on the other hand, is a process that decreases the time to obtain the new document. The time is usually between 2 to 3 weeks. To use the expedited option, proof of travel sooner than fours weeks must be shown. If you need a passport sooner than two weeks, you must hire a passport agency.

Other Acceptance Facilities

The post office is the more known place to submit a passport application. The other sites are courthouses, county clerk’s offices, and public libraries. One advantage of going to any of these sites is that they may not be as busy as the post office. The disadvantage of going is that the operating hours are not as long as the post office. So, before visiting one call first. All the facilities, including the post office, are not open on Federal Holidays. Please avoid going on holidays just to find out the building is not open.
