In Nevada, there are approximately 60 passport application acceptance facilities to apply for a passport. Typically, passport offices are located at post offices, city and county clerk offices, and other Government facilities. Weapons are prohibited at federal agencies and passport agencies. Be sure that you do not bring any weapon into these places. Many do have metal detection for this purpose.

For example, the Clark County Clerk – Commission Division, located in Las Vegas, is a postal facility that will seal your passport application and supporting documents. Although, they do recommend you visit CVS for your passport photo. If for some reason, you cannot locate a passport office in your town, try searching your neighboring towns and cities.
If you are traveling in less than 2 weeks you will need to have your passport expedited at a regional passport agency. Otherwise, Nevada applicants may choose between two passport application procedures; the regular passport service which generally takes 4 to 6 weeks or request expedited passport services that may take 2 or 3 weeks.
