Eligibility

• If you are planning to apply, make sure that your international travel is within 14 calendar days. If you have already applied, your international travel should be within five calendar days.
• Bring printed documents like flight itinerary, hotel reservation, and international car insurance for your international travel.
• In addition to the standard application fees, kindly make a payment of $60 for expedited processing.
• For international travel, schedule your appointment within 14 days before applying. If you’ve already applied, schedule within five days.

The San Diego Passport Agency is open Mondays through Fridays. The office is closed on federal holidays and by appointments only

You may just drop but it is far better to call them to have a super fast passport within your deadline.

The good news is that you do not have to personally visit the office for the application process; you may dial the automation appointment number and retrieve your appointment. The paperwork can be obtained online.

When You Arrived:

The San Diego Passport Agency has a strict rule regarding punctuality. Please arrive on time and if you are even late by a few minutes your present appointment will be automatically canceled and then you have to wait for the next available appointment.

Please note that no weapons or poisonous substances are allowed within the periphery of the San Diego Passport Agency office building. Metal detectors are installed at the gates.

The information desk is located just a few meters from the entrance. Upon arrival please present your Social Security number or the appointment confirmation number at the information desk. They will then assist you further to the regional office. You may also retrieve all other information at the information desk.
