San Francisco Passport Expediting Service

When you are expediting your passport with the San Francisco, you will have to pay the expediting passport fee of $60. You will then receive your emergency passport the same day from San Francisco.

When You Arrive for Your Appointment

Please use the Golden Gate Ave entrance to access the building. It is recommended to arrive 15 minutes early for security screening. A valid government ID is required for entry. Please be aware that weapons, including knives and pepper spray, as well as food and drinks (except water in a sealable bottle), are strictly prohibited. Expect a potential wait at the entrance.

Proceed to the 3rd floor using the elevator. Upon arrival, check-in at the Information Desk and provide your appointment confirmation number for verification. Take a seat and wait until your number is called.

Once your number is called, proceed to your assigned window, where a Department of State employee will review your application supporting materials and discuss available delivery options.

Please note that we may not be able to see you exactly at your appointed time.
