However, there are over 150 study abroad programs and options for international or domestic programs.

Domestic and International Programs

Duke University Study Abroad students can choose from any of Duke’s 50 administered international or domestic study away programs. So, some trip highlights of the Domestic Program is to New York for Arts & Media as well as for Financial Markets and Institutions, and also Los Angeles. Other exciting trips are available to Chicago or even Alaska!

Furthermore, international trips can go from Russia to several Italian locations, as well as stretching to South Africa.

Duke University Study Abroad offers many programs and partnerships. The Duke-In Programs involve Duke Faculty and they are directly involved in the programs where students can earn Duke Credits. In most cases, grades count toward curricular requirements.

Duke-Approved Programs are sponsored by other universities and providers but are pre-approved by the Duke Global Education Committee. Thus, these types of programs allow students to earn transfer credits only which may fulfill requirements for majors, minors, etc. upon approval. Passport and Visa for Study Abroad

So many students want to travel and study abroad, but most fear the application process or perhaps think they don’t have enough time to get their documents. Routine passport processing take 4-6 weeks, so Duke University study abroad students should apply early.
