Do You Need a Visa to Travel to Colombia?
Updated As of

Colombia is a popular destination for visitors from the United States, and a Colombian visa is not required for stays of less than 90 days. However, you must have a passport valid on the day of entry (with one full page available for the entry stamp), and you are limited to bringing in a maximum of $10,000 in U.S. currency. Likewise, with no more than this amount, you can exit the country.
While not a requirement, some travelers to Colombia are asked for evidence of a return or continuing on an airplane ticket, you will be granted a length of stay at the entry point by a Colombian immigration officer. That time will be stamped in your passport. However, you may request an extension of your stay for up to 90 days by visiting a Colombian immigration office (Migración Colombia).
If you overstay your visit, you will be fined and must pay that fine before leaving the country. If you have been granted a stay longer than 90 days, you must register your visa at a Colombian immigration office (Migración Colombia) within 15 days, or you will be subject to a fine.
If you need to apply for a passport, renew your current one, or add pages to your passport, you can use expedited services to get this done in three weeks. Expedited services run an additional $60, plus delivery charges.
Post Covid 19, the Colombian government has added a new form when traveling to Colombia “Check MIG Colombia.”
