Croatia Visa – How To Apply For A Croat Visa
Updated As of

U.S. citizens who are going to Croatia for business or tourist purposes are not required to have a Croatia visa as long as they are US passport holders who are only staying up to 90 days. Travelers do need a valid passport that will not expire for at least three months after they plan on leaving Croatia. Ideally, travelers should have at least six months’ validity on their passport and one blank page for an entry stamp. Those who plan on staying for more than 90 days will need a temporary residence permit from the Croatian Consulate or Embassy in the U.S.
Travelers who need a temporary residence permit must submit the required documentation, which includes a birth certificate and a marriage or divorce certificate, if applicable. These documents must be translated into the Croatian language.
Travelers who are already in Croatia and need an extension on a temporary stay will need to submit their requests to the Aliens Affairs Section at the local police department. This request should be sent at least 30 days or more before the final day of their authorized stay.
Travelers should keep in mind that they will need a valid passport to travel from Croatia to neighboring countries that belong to the European Union.
