Hungary Visa – How To Apply For An Hungarian Visa

GENERIC VISA INFORMATIONGot travel plans to Hungary any time soon? You will not need a Hungary visa in order to travel to Hungary for up to 90 days. You will need to provide a valid United States passport when traveling to Hungary. Your United States Passport should be valid for at least three months after your intended stay in Hungary.

A United States passport that is valid for at least three months after departure from Hungary will suffice under the guidelines of the Schengen Agreement. If this guideline is not met, your trip may be cut short or you will be denied entry to Hungary.

It is recommended that six months validity after your intended stay in a country should be on your passport when you leave that country. Though Hungary only requires 3 month validity, other countries that neighbor Hungary may require 6 months validity. Be sure to double check these requirements before you travel to any neighboring countries of Hungary.

It is also important to keep in mind that you will need to keep blank visa pages in your passport book when you are traveling abroad. The recommended amount of visa pages that should be left black in your passport book is (2).

Lastly, if you will be traveling to Hungary via air and you have to stop in another country for a layover, you may need to obtain a transit visa. We recommend that you inquire about your flight specifics with the airline company you have booked your flight with.
