Iran Visa – How Apply For An Iranian Visa

Traveling to Iran? You will need an Iran visa to do so, along with a valid passport. Before you plan your trip, be sure that there is sufficient validity time on your passport after your intended stay. The recommended amount of validity time after your intended stay in Iran is 6 months.

Also, be sure that your passport has at least (2) blank visa pages in it when you travel to Iran. If these two requirements are not met, then you will be turned out at the point of entry into Iran. You will have to renew your passport in order to fulfill the demands by Iran before you can travel there.

When applying for your visa your documents should include, an Iran visa application form, your signed United States passport with at least 6 months validity, (2) passport photographs, an itinerary of your trip, and proof of a yellow fever vaccination. Also, you should provide a copy of your hotel reservations with the applicant’s name on the reservation for the hotel, or if staying with family or friends a notarized letter of invitation from them is required.

Lastly, Iran requires travelers to provide a recent bank statement with the traveler’s name as the account holder, date of the bank statement, and the traveler’s balances in their accounts.

If you will need to apply for a business visa, you will have to provide a business letter along with the documents mentioned above. A business letter should include an introduction of the applicant, the nature of the business that will be conducted on the trip, and state the type of visa and preferred validity length. Lastly, you will have to prove sufficient funds for your traveling purposes with a business letter. The business letter should be written on the company’s letterhead that you are working for.
