Iraq Visa – How To Apply For An Iraqi Visa

Will you be traveling to Iraq for business or pleasure? Do you need an Iraq visa? You will need an Iraq business visa in order to do so. Also, you will need a valid passport to travel to Iraq. Your passport should have at least six months validity after your trip to Iraq is over. To apply for a visa to Iraq, you should contact the Embassy of Iraq in Washington, D.C. Also, you can apply for a visa upon your entry into Iraq with one condition. The condition is that you will have to provide a form of Entry Visa Approval Memorandum from the Ministry of Interior Residency Office.

After you are approved for your visa to Iraq, you will have to enter Iraq within 90 days of the issuance of the visa for a single entry visa. Multiple entry visas to Iraq allow travelers to enter Iraq up to 6 months after the issuance of the visa.

Requirements for an Iraq Business Visa

• United States of America Passport with 6 months validity 
• Two Passport Photo
• Personal Letter – A personal letter from the embassy of Iraq explaining why you want to visit Iraq, where you will be staying and length of the trip.

When you are allowed into Iraq you will have to follow up on other requirements. These requirements include the obtaining of an arrival sticker, as well as submitting a blood sample within 10 days of your arrival into Iraq. The blood sample will have to be taken by the Iraq Ministry of Health.
