Things to keep in mind regarding your United States passport
A United States passport that is valid for at least three months after departure from Kosovo will suffice under the guidelines of Kosovo immigration requirements. If this guideline is not met, your trip may be cut short or you will be denied entry to Kosovo.
The recommended time of validity that should be on your passport is six months validity after your intended stay in a country. Some countries that share a border with Kosovo may require 6 months validity even though Kosovo only requires 3-month validity, Make sure to check these requirements before you travel to any neighboring countries of Kosovo to avoid any issues with your travel plans.
It is crucial to keep in mind that you will need to have blank visa pages in your passport book when you are traveling abroad to receive stamps from the countries you will be visiting. The recommended amount of visa pages that should be left blank in your passport book is (2).
Lastly, if you will be traveling to Kosovo by plane and you have to stop in another country for a connecting flight, you may need to obtain a transit visa. We recommend that you inquire about the specifics of your flight with the airline company you have booked your flight with.
