Montserrat Visa – How To Apply For A Montserratian Visa
Updated As of

Do you have Montserrat in mind for your next destination? You will not need to obtain a Montserrat visa for you to be able to travel to Montserrat for up to 6 months. Being that Montserrat is in the Caribbean, you will be able to use a Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative or WHTI. If you are traveling via air, a NEXUS card or a Merchant Mariner Document can be used. Merchant Mariner Documents can be used by U.S. citizens that are traveling on official business. NEXUS cards can provide expedited processing when traveling to or from the United States and Mexico, Canada or the Caribbean.
If you are traveling by sea or land, you can provide an Enhanced Driver’s License, a NEXUS, FAST, or SENTRI card, and/or a valid passport card.
Keep in mind, that a WHTI is accepted when traveling between the United States and the Caribbean, however, a WHTI may not be accepted in other countries that you may travel to on your cruise. Be sure to inquire about the specifics of your travel to ensure you do not run into any unnecessary issues.
Regarding your passport, you should make sure you have at least 3 months validity remaining on your passport after you depart Monserrat. Also, you should double check the number of blank visa pages that are in your passport. Many countries require a minimum of (2) blank visa pages in passport books provided by travelers. Lastly, ensure if a transit visa will be needed. Sometimes, when stopping in a country for a layover flight, travelers are asked to provide a transit visa. Contact your airline company to verify the details of your flight.
