New Zealand Visa – Visa & Travel Requirements For A New Zealand Visa
Have you been thinking about a trip to New Zealand? You will not have to obtain a New Zealand visa in order to travel to New Zealand for up to 90 days. In fact, if you are a United States citizen, there is a visa waiver that is applicable which will allow you to stay in New Zealand for up to 3 months. However, you will need to ensure that your current passport is up to date and in order before you go on your trip to New Zealand to avoid any issues. Below are some things to keep in mind regarding your passport.
New Zealand Visa & Travel Requirements
Passport Validity- Your passport should have at least a 6 months validity left on it before you travel to New Zealand. This may not be what is required of New Zealand since some countries require less validity time, but 6 months of validity is ideal when traveling to help avoid any problems.
Visa Pages- It is important to have at least (2) blank visa pages in your passport book. Though New Zealand only requires (1) blank visa page, if you wish to travel to neighboring countries, more blank visa pages will have to be available.
Transit Visa- In some cases, when traveling on a connecting flight, the country in which the flight stops to connect to another flight may need to see a transit visa from travelers. Make sure your flight specifics are clarified before your trip to help avoid any unnecessary issues.
