Peru Visa – How To Apply For A Peruvian Visa
Have you been planning a trip to Peru? You will not need to obtain a Peru visa for tourism purposes for up to 6 months. However, if traveling on business or official purposes, a Peru visa will be required. Also, you should make sure that your passport is up to date. This will require your passport to have a minimum of 6 months validity left on it after you depart Peru, as well as a minimum of (2) blank visa pages to allow for any visa stamps that will be necessary while you are traveling to and from Peru.
Peru Visa Requirements
To obtain a business Peru visa, you will have to provide the following documentation:
- A Peru visa application,
- (2) acceptable passport photographs,
- A Letter of Invitation from host or sponsor that you will be conducting business with that includes your length of stay, place of stay, and the host’s name and information for contact
- A Business Letter which should be written on your employer’s letterhead stating the purpose of the trip, the type of business that will take place, type of visa and validity length, and proof of sufficient funds.
- Hotel Confirmation in applicants name
For an official visa, your documents should include a Peru visa application form, original, signed United States passport, (2) accepted passport photos, and a State Department Letter addressed to the “Embassy of Peru, Washington, D.C.” staying the purpose of travel along with travel dates. Also, the passport number and applicant’s name should be included.
