Portugal Visa – How To Apply For A Portuguese Visa
Is Portugal the next stop on the trip list? If so, you will not need to obtain a Portugal visa for business and tourism purposes for up to 3 months. Being that Portugal is in the Schengen territory, you will be able to travel within the Schengen territory to other countries for a period of 90 days without obtaining a visa. This can be done within every 6 month period. Also, you should make sure that your current passport is in order and up to date before leaving for Portugal. Below are the criteria that your passport should meet before you travel to Portugal.
Portugal Visa & Travel Requirements
Passport Validity- Being that Portugal is in the Schengen territory, we assume you will travel to other Schengen territories while in Portugal. You should make sure that there is a minimum of 6 months validity on your passport so you don’t run into any issues while traveling.
Blank Visa Pages- You should make sure that you have a minimum of (2) blank visa pages in your passport book when you are traveling to Portugal. This will allow for any necessary stamps that need to be put into your passport book. Issues may arise if there are not sufficient blank visa pages in your passport book, so be sure that the minimum amount is available.
Transit Visa- When traveling to Portugal and you have to join another flight in another country, you may need to obtain a transit visa for that country where you will be connecting flights in. Ask your airline provider about the flight specifics.
