Switzerland Visa – How To Apply For A Swiss Visa
Will you and your family be traveling to Switzerland? A Switzerland visa will not be necessary for travel to Switzerland for up to 3 months for tourism and business purposes. You will have to provide to the Switzerland immigration department proof of adequate funds for the duration of your trip, along with a return ticket for your departure from Switzerland. Also, you will need to confirm that your current passport is valid and up to date before your trip to Switzerland. Below is a list of criteria that is recommended for travelers who are traveling to Switzerland.
Passport Validity- Your passport should be valid for 6 months after your intended departure from Switzerland. Though Switzerland is in the Schengen Region and will only require 3 months validity, we recommend that there be 6 months validity on passports to ensure you do not face any issues when traveling to bordering countries that are not a part of the Schengen Region.
Blank Visa Pages- Switzerland, as in many other countries, will require travelers to have at least (2) blank visa pages in their passport books before arriving in Switzerland. This will allow Switzerland Immigration officials to place any necessary visa stamps into your passport book.
Transit Visa- A transit visa is required in some cases where travelers will be connecting flights. Some countries will require all travelers who connect flights in that country to obtain a transit visa. Inquire with your travel agent or airline provider for more specific details on your flight.
