Harlaxton Program
As of 2014, Western has signed an agreement with the University of Evansville in Indiana. It was to become a partner school with Harlaxton College. The Harlaxton Program has been around for 40 years and allows students to study in a 150-room manor house on the English countryside. In addition, Western students can choose to either spend a semester here or opt for the five-week summer program. Furthermore, the program is also recognized because the faculty from the students home universities work with them internationally, travels with them, and teaches them abroad which gives students that ‘home away from home’ feeling.

Did you ever dream of receiving college credit for kayaking through exotic locations in Loreto, Baja, Mexico and on the Sea of Cortez? Western offers exciting faculty-led programs through their extended studies program, unlike any other university. Students are also invited to Belize, Central America to study archeology in the heart of it all: the Maya ruins!

Passports & Visas
Obtaining or ensuring you have a valid passport is the first step to any study abroad trip. In order for a passport to be valid, it must not be expired. Also, it must not expire up to 6 months after you return from your trip. Passports can take about 4-6 weeks to process.
