In Woodbridge, the post office is at 60 Main Street and is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Also on Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The post office offers routine processing which takes 4-6 weeks. At the post office, a certified agent will receive your form, supporting documents, and fee then packages them and send it to a processing center. In addition to the regular processing, you may use expedited services if you are in a rush for a passport. With expedited services, you can have a new passport in 2-3 weeks. The cost for this option is more when compared to the standard processing.

Other acceptance facilities in Middlesex County are: 240 Middlesex Essex Turnpike, 605 Port Reading Ave, Port Reading, 1065 Rahway Avenue, Avenel, 450 New Brunswick Avenue, Fords, 574 Inman Anevue, Colonia, 212 Pershing Avenue, Carteret, 85 Woodbridge Avenue, Sewaren, and 100 Menlo Park Mall Suite 101, Edison. The time at each facility varies, so call before visiting anyone one of them. The processing cost is the same for each post office. So you may choose anyone to submit your documents. Be aware that all post offices are not open on Federal Holidays and some may require an appointment. To be sure that the one you are going to does not need an appointment, call before going.
Other Acceptance Facilities
Other sites accept passport applications in Middlesex County. They are courthouses, county clerk’s offices, and public libraries. These locations do not offer expedited services but routine service only. In case of an emergency and you need a passport in 24-48 hours, contact a passport agency. Remember, post offices do not offer this service.
