Haiti Visa – How To Apply For A Haitian Visa
Updated As of

Interested in traveling to Haiti? A Haiti visa will not be required to do so for up to 90 days. If you are a United States citizen, you will not need a visa to visit Haiti. Though a visa is not necessary for travel to Haiti, you will need to ensure the following are in order.
Check passport validity – It is recommended that your passport has at least 6 months validity left on it after your trip to Haiti is over. Many countries will require less than 6 months validity on your passport, but since there are countries that will request at least 6 months validity on your passport, you should cater for that validation time frame.
Blank visa pages – Haiti, along with many other countries, require at least two blank visa pages in your passport book when you arrive and depart Haiti. This will permit any necessary stamps that will need to be stamped in your passport during your travel.
Transit Visa – Sometimes a transit visa is required when traveling to a country on a connecting flight. Countries that your fight stops at overseas may need to see a transit visa when connecting flights.
Also, you can apply for a passport card using form DS-11. A passport card is used to cross between the Caribbean and the United States.
Passport Card applicant must:
- Bring (2) passport photos
- Proof of identity
- Photocopy of proof of identity
- Proof of citizenship
- Completed, unsigned application form
- Bring $20 fee for a passport card
These documents should be presented to the agent at the passport application acceptance facility. You will be sworn in and will have to sign the application in front of the agent.
