South Korea Visa – How To Apply For A South Korean Visa

Is your next destination South Korea? You will not need to obtain a South Korea Visa in order to travel to South Korea for up to 3 months. If you wish to stay longer than 3 months, you will have to obtain a South Korea visa for the Republic of Korea Embassy or Consulate. Also, you will have to apply for an Alien Registration Card if you will be staying longer than 90 days in South Korea. In addition, your current United States passport should be up to date and in order before you take your trip to South Korea. Below is a list of guidelines that we recommend you follow regarding your passport prior to your trip to South Korea.
Passport Validity- You passport will have to be valid for a minimum of 6 months after your departure from South Korea. Some countries may require less validity time, but to ensure you do not run into any issues, we recommend that you have at least 6 months validity on your passport.
Blank Visa Pages- There should be a minimum of (2) blank visa pages in your passport book to allow for any visa stamps that will be necessary during your travel. If there is not at least (2) blank visa pages, you may run into some difficulties while traveling.
Transit visa- A transit visa is required when connecting flights in certain countries. If you will be connecting flights in a different country, the country in which you are staying may need you to provide a transit visa. Ask your airline provider about your flight details.
