The cost of a new U.S. passport varies between an adult and a minor passport, between a first time applicant and renewing an expired, a lost or stolen, or damaged passport. New U.S. Passport Prices and Cost
Passport Book – Anyone 16 years or older is considered an adult. A first-time applicant (adult or child) must submit Form DS-11 along with the application and execution fees. The application fee is $110.00, and the execution fee is $35.00. So, the cost of an adult passport book is $145.00.
Passport Card – A passport card is another traveling document a U.S. citizen can get if he or she chooses to have. The price of the card is $30.00, and the execution fee is $35.00. The overall amount of a passport card for an adult will cost $65.00.

Minors Passport Cost
Passport Book – A child is anyone 15 years and younger. The cost of a child’s passport, including a baby, is $80.00 for the application and $35.00 for the execution fee. Together, a minor passport price is $115.00.
Passport Card – A card is cheaper when compared with an adult passport card. A minor application will cost $15.00, and the execution fee is $35.00. So, you will pay a total of $50.00 for a child passport card.
Adult Passport Renewal Prices
The application cost to renew a passport book or card for an adult or child is the same as for a first-time applicant. The only difference is the exemption of the execution fee. So, the renewal fee for an adult passport book is $110.00, and a minor is $80.00. The cost of an adult passport card is $30.00, and a minor passport card is $15.00.
Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Prices
Adult – To replace an adult passport book will cost the same as a first-time applicant. Instead of completing Form DS-11, Form DS-82 must be completed before submission.
