League City Passport Offices – Where to Get a Passport in League City

If you are a resident of League City and want to get a new passport, you can submit your application at any of the two post offices. If you live in Galveston County, you have more choices. To find a passport office in  Galveston County, there are ten post offices to choose from and start the process. Each post office has certified agents to collect, package, and send your documents to a processing center. Some offer to take your passport pictures on site for a fee.

Where to Get a Passport in League City

League City Post Offices

The first post office is at 240 W Galveston Street and the hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. It is also open from 9:00 am to noon on Saturday. The second is at 1637 E Main Street and opens 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday and 9:00 am to noon on Saturday.

There are two options to get a passport application process. They are routine and expedited passport services, and the post office offers both. On average, regular processing takes about 4-6 weeks after applying. It can take longer especially if it is peak season or the region is experiencing in climate weather. This option is the lowest in cost. Expedited services, on the other hand, is faster but more costly. It is more for emergencies when you need a passport sooner than four weeks. This service will get you a passport in 2-3 weeks. To use it, you must provide proof of the need for a new document. Without evidence, you will be referred to normal processing. If you need a passport sooner than two weeks, you should hire an agency.

Other Acceptance Facilities

In League City, there are other application acceptance facilities. These sites do not process as many applications as the post office. Therefore, their hours are shorter, and they are open on selected days. Also, the number of agents is less, and this leads to longer waiting time when applying. These other facilities are courthouses, county clerk’s offices, and public libraries. At them, you will only have routine processing and not expedited services.
