Algeria Visa – How To Apply For An Algerian Visa
Updated As of

If you’re planning on traveling to another area in the world for any reason, you’ll always want to make sure that you have the necessary paperwork in order before your trip begins to avoid delays. Algeria, for example, requires that all United States visitors have a valid tourist visa before entry will be permitted.
In order to obtain an official Algeria tourist visa, you’ll need to fill out the application form online and submit a number of important documents. You’ll need to fill out your Algeria visa application form and submit with it your original, signed United States passport. Your passport must be valid for a full six months after your departure date. You’ll also need to include two properly sized passport photographs and a full copy of your itinerary, which can also include your round-trip airline tickets.
You will also need to submit a copy of your hotel reservations and an original, notarized personal letter that is addressed to the Embassy of Algeria. The letter should go into great detail explaining the purpose of the trip, the amount of time you plan on staying and where you plan on visiting.
Though the normal processing time is 20 business days, you can reduce that significantly by using expedited passport services in your area. You will also need to submit a $290 processing fee.
