UD Rome Program

The University of Dallas Rome Program has been changing students lives for over 45 years! With a program that is unlike any other of its kind, UD offers students a more intense and vivid lesson than that they would receive in the classroom. As the center of the Catholic church, UD students provide a community of learners. In addition to reading and studying about Odysseus, Aristotle, Socrates, Michelangelo, and the wonders of the Sistine Chapel students get to walk the same paths and see the same sights that these legends witnessed.

Other trips within Italy and all over Europe are also offer to students in the Rome Program. Faculty-led day trips are schedule inside the curriculum. Students and faculty will visit Albano, Castel Gandolfo, Fossanova, Monte Cassino, Nemi, Osta Antica and Subiaco. As well as, have the opportunity to travel to nearby countries such as Greece!

The Rome Program campus is across twelve acres at the Eugene Constantin Campus. This is located in the foothills of the southeast of Rome where ancient Romans and popes take their summer breaks. The program is a perfect combination of the intensive study of art, architecture, history, literature, theology, philosophy with an appropriate mix of Catholicism and authentic Italian food!

Third Party Programs

As a way to offer even more opportunities for UD students to go abroad, the college assists and allows students to apply through third party programs. Though UD does not necessarily have a formal partnership with these programs, the student can pay the program fees and arrange for transfer credits at the UD standard according to their Transfer Credit Acceptance Policy.

Some programs that have been successful in the past for UD students are The Catholic University of Eichstätt – Ingolstadt, University of the Incarnate Word European Study Center in Heidelberg, Catholic Worldview Fellowship, The Gabii Project, and Budapest Semesters in Mathematics.

UD does have a formal partnership with the ITAM Fu Jen Catholic University (FJU) Doing Business in Taiwan Program.
